OUR STORY
The roots of this honeycomb
Keez Beez was started in 2007 by two married, recently retired professionals who had moved to live in the Florida Keys. Isabel gave John a single beehive as a surprise birthday present, which was kept on the upstairs balcony of their home on Sombrero Isle, Marathon. Neither had any intention of becoming full time beekeepers or honey producers, but in a couple years they decided in 2015 to found what we know today as Keez Beez.

FIRST HONEY HARVEST
Amazingly, that single beehive produced over 200lbs of delicious raw honey in the first year! That's way more honey than any retired couple could use, and much of it was given away to friends, relatives, and neighbors who were all so impressed with the taste and quality of the honey that the consensus was: "You have to sell this!"

The first dozen 1lb glass bottles labeled with a primitive home computer and printer went out to the local health food store in Marathon in the summer of 2007. It sold within a week and the store wanted more honey.

TO FULL TIME

One beehive became two, then four, then eight, and soon the balcony was too small to harvest honey. Keez Beez joined the Fresh from Florida agricultural program, became a state-registered beekeeping company, and the rest is history.
What started as a hobby in 2007 has now evolved into a thriving business founded in 2015, boasting 600 beehives and a diverse range of products. In all our endeavors, we are dedicated to produce the highest quality and pure raw honey available in the market.
Today, our honey is proudly featured in numerous independent stores across Florida and is also available in major supermarket such as Publix, Milam's, Winn Dixie and more!
